For optimal freshness we recommend storing all products in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight and we recommend using the products within 12 months of purchasing them.

According to Fair Trade Certified, the term 'Fair Trade' means, in summary, setting high standards in safe labour practices, providing fair wages to workers, and giving back to developing communities.

Whilst we are not Fair Trade-certified, we partner with suppliers who align with our ethos of sustainable practices and ethical sourcing.

It's also important to Cahaya that we remain 100% natural use certified-organic ingredients and remain vegan when possible. We are are Leaping Bunny certified.

A natural product refers to ingredients that have been sourced from nature. Cahaya skincare products are made from all natural products.

Organic ingredients comply with certain standards for organic farming, for instance no pesticides or chemical herbicides may be used on crops. To the extent possible we have used organic ingredients. But certain ingredients, for example Shea butter, is derived from the nut of the Vitellaria tree (Vitellaria Paradoxa), which is similar to an oak and usually grows wild. For this reason, Shea butter is not certified as organic, however it is never sprayed with any chemicals or pesticides or herbicides or anything synthetic.

The following products in our range You and Eye, Smooth Hydrator, Aloe Cleanse, Gorgeous Glow do contain nut oils as part of their composition.

The following products Collagen Kiss, Renew Elixir do not contain any nut oils.

No. Our products are free from gluten, soy, plastics, synthetics, silicone, Sodium lauryl ether sulphate (SLS), poly ethylene glycols (PEG) and parabens. ‍ Our products do contain naturally derived phenoxyethanol, which serves as a stabiliser and an antibacterial agent, in very low concentrations. Pregnant ladies and nursing mothers should consult a professional, prior to using our products.

At Cahaya, we are committed to using only truly natural, non-toxic ingredients and avoiding synthetic preservatives.That said our formulations do feature natural preservatives.

Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free. We do not test on animals at any point within our supply chain or pay for another company to conduct testing. Cahaya does not sell or do business in countries that have animal testing policies.

All ingredients used in Cahay products are 100% vegan, with one exception, our Gorgeous glow day cream, where we have used hydrolysed silk, in our current batch.
